Schneider Electric Launches HMI Starter Package
Schneider Electric is offering customers the chance to benefit from the power of its Magelis graphical HMI (Human Machine Interface) in a great new starter package, which includes more than £400 worth of free software and programming accessories. The great new starter package comes complete with everything needed to incorporate it into any automation system.
The kit includes a 3.8" colour HMI, Magelis XBTGT1335, which is the most compact, easy to use terminal in the range. However, with its clever design, an amazing number of advanced functions are packed into its small frame. High-end HMI options, including USB and Ethernet connectivity, recipe management, data logging, historical trending and alarm management, can now be implemented easily and effectively into smaller plants.
To optimize the Magelis XBTGT, the starter package comes complete with the Vijeo Designer software that allows PC simulation, supports multiwindow working and contains a library of more than 4000 customizable images to make it suitable for individual needs. In addition, this software contains all of the drivers required for communication to all major vendor's PLCs and drives, allowing full openness and integration to most existing automation system.
Dave Collier, product manager at Schneider Electric, explains: “Using HMIs for the first time can be a little overwhelming and the cost of software and leads can put first time users off, which is why we've put together this great starter package. When combined the Magelis XBTGT and the Vijeo Designer software are suitable for most applications and can be modified to meet individual needs."
