YRC Logistics to open new larger facilities in Southampton

YRC Logistics, a leading provider of global logistics is set to celebrate the opening of its new state of the art facility located in Totton, Southampton. To mark the occasion, the Company will be holding a launch party and open evening on Thursday 3rd December.

The Company, which helps businesses with all aspects of their global supply chain, from international freight forwarding through to warehousing and distribution has invited over 200 customers and business partners from across the Hampshire region to the event. The new facility, which has 6500 square feet of warehouse space, marks a milestone in the development of the business that was originally based in Eastleigh.

During the last 8 years the operations have grown from strength to strength and the Company has developed an impressive client list that includes Hampshire based Tool & Equipment retailer Northern Tool, GKN Aerospace and luxury clothes giant Ben Sherman. YRC Logistics is a subsidiary YRC Worldwide, one of the largest transportation companies in the World. It has operations in Asia, North America, South America and Europe and operates from six strategic locations in the UK - London, Hemel Hempstead, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Southampton.
