Hyster is pleased to
announce the launch of “Raised Operator”
Versions of both the H2.0-3.5FT and H4.0-5.5FT
Fortens Series IC-engine Forklift trucks.
The
new Raised Operator option is designed for use
in applications where the load carried can
often hinder the driver’s view, and is
therefore ideally suited for applications in
the beverage or paper handling industries.
With Ergonomics key to delivering maximum
productivity in an application, the new Raised
Operator trucks offer a number of driver
comfort features, in addition to those
standard on the Fortens range.
To
enhance visibility over the attachment and
associated load, the raised operator truck
features an elevated seating position, 500 mm
higher than the standard Fortens truck. In
addition to allowing the driver to see tall
loads, it also provides him with an excellent
all-round view of the working environment,
which is extremely useful in space restricted,
fast moving applications, such as bottling
plants.
The
truck also features industry-leading cabin
access, with two additional evenly spaced wide
steps and two additional grab handles on the
left side of the truck. The excellent
cowl-to-counterweight service access of the
standard Fortens truck is maintained on the
Raised Operator version, thanks to the
inclusion of side opening doors that provide
class-leading access to the engine,
transmission, wiring and hydraulics. This
access can be further enhanced as the step
assemblies are easily removed, creating a full
opening on both sides of the truck.
This machine is fully assembly-line built and
is therefore subject to the same stringent
quality standards and controls as standard
product. In addition, it means that The Raised
Operator Version will be available in all
Fortens packages and all the standard price
list options are available, such as
full-cabin, hydraulic controls, and the full
range of powertrains. Hyster product, service,
fleet management and general advice is
available through Barloworld Handling
