Ultimate Labelling Compliance for S&N

Smith & Nephew, a global leader in advanced wound management, endoscopy and orthopaedic products, has deployed an integrated labelling solution, Ultimate Suite from Episys(www.episys.com), to ensure industry leading labelling. Episys’ Ultimate offers full-feature label printing packages and will enable Smith & Nephew to exercise greater control and flexibility over the labelling of its advanced wound management products. Smith & Nephew selected Ultimate because the system that they were using was not networked. Each machine had to be individually updated with new labels and the system kept losing certain images (bmp symbols) from the labels. Smith & Nephew also needed a solution that would allow the company to produce labels that are compliant with the Medical Device Directive and various regulatory bodies, such as the FDA. Ultimate automatically incorporates these changes — so Smith & Nephew is always up to date.
