Prologis acquires 22,300 square metre distribution centre in the Netherlands

Prologis, the leading global owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, has acquired a 22,300 square metre (240,000 square foot) distribution centre on behalf of Prologis European Properties Fund II. The facility, located in Haven Zeven Industrial Park, Waalwijk, is fully leased to logistics service provider Docdata Fulfilment B.V.

Docdata has requested an expansion of more than 6,000 square metres (64,600 square feet), with an expected delivery in March 2012. With the expansion, the entire building will cover 28,300 square metres (305,000 square feet).

Philip Dunne, president Prologis Europe commented: "this transaction is in line with Prologis’s objective to broaden and develop its portfolio of high quality, modern logistics facilities. It also demonstrates our flexibility in working with our customers to find solutions adapted to their needs.”
Docdata Fulfilment B.V. provides fulfillment services for the growing e-commerce industry, working with companies such as Bol.com, the Bijenkorf and V&D. “We´re really excited about getting to work in this new location. Haven Zeven offers us what we need, both now and for the future in terms of growth and modality,” commented Jack Heijkans, managing director of Docdata. "With this new space we’re able to serve our customers’ needs.”
