i2 FreightMatrix broadens partner connectivity and collaboration
i2 Technologies has announced the release of i2 Transportation Manager via i2 FreightMatrix, the industry’s leading hosted TMS solution. Version 6.3.2 of i2 Transportation Manager allows companies to minimise their overall transportation costs while maximising customer service through real-world constraint management and multiple partner collaboration.
The latest release adds significant new features for extending transportation network partner collaboration and mitigation against future capacity constraints. New features include
- Partner-enabled dock scheduling
- Supplier-interactive “ready-to-ship” workflows for domestic and international processing
- A carrier-directed financial reconciliation portal established for efficient audit collaboration
- Package-based tracking and financial processing for less-than-truckload (LTL) and parcel-intensive shippers
- A freight-auctioning extension designed to address critical capacity issues
“It is important that shippers understand that real transportation efficiency can only be realized when there is a focus on both internal as well as external processes,” said Fabrizio Brasca, vice president of global logistics, i2. “Creating a more collaborative environment across multiple critical processes is a perfect complement to the industry-leading optimisation and execution capabilities that we already provide. We are pleased to continue our strong history of innovation in the transportation space and feel that this release will allow customers to be proactive instead of reactive to industry changes,” added Brasca.
